Bohemia, New York (September 2011) Data Device Corporation (DDC) has been selected by Thales UK to supply 16-Channel Programmable Solid-State Power Controllers (SSPC) for the UK Ministry of Defence’s new Foxhound Light Protected Patrol Vehicle (LPPV). The SSPCs are a key element of the electrical and electronic architecture that Thales is providing to LPPV prime contractor, Force Protection Europe.
DDC was selected based upon the proven in-service performance of their SSPC technology, combined with the power distribution module’s advanced programmability and multichannel capabilities, along with its vital role in supporting General Vehicle Architecture (GVA) conformance.
